PLASTIC BANK COLLABORATES WITH OCEAN BOTTLE TO STOP OCEAN PLASTIC WHILE IMPROVING LIVES
Ocean Bottle has created a brilliantly designed, award-winning reusable bottle. For every bottle purchased, the equivalent of 1000 ocean-bound plastic bottles are collected. This collection provides a sustainable living for people in coastal communities and, together, we all keep plastic out of the ocean.
Going beyond the transactional element of waste for money, Ocean Bottle is committed to making social and economic impact in addition to their environmental impact. Partnering with Plastic Bank facilitates the ability for collectors to get access to things that enable social mobility.
Bringing people together to turn the tide on ocean plastic
Ocean Bottle’s goal by 2025 is to fund the collection of 7 billion plastic bottles in weight, and their partnership with Plastic Bank contributes directly to this goal. Since launching in October 2019, Ocean Bottle has united customers in 88 countries around its mission and partnered with brands including Pangaia, Soho House, RedBull, Universal Music and Ed Sheeran. They have collected over 5 million KGs of plastic and improved thousands of livelihoods at the same time.
