SC Johnson is helping Plastic Bank expand their operations in Asia, Brazil, and Egypt and empower people to stop ocean plastic.
Partners Since 2018
SC Johnson and Plastic Bank opened their first branch in Bali, Indonesia in October 2018 and by the spring of 2019 had helped create a total of 8 branches including our first mobile branch. Local waste collectors can bring the plastic they collect to any branch, where they can exchange it for digital tokens. Using innovative Blockchain technology, they can then use the tokens to buy needed goods and services – reducing the risk of loss or theft.
