Despite economic challenges, he continues collecting plastic across neighborhoods to support his wife and children - turning every bottle into income, groceries, school supplies, and hope for his family.

Our team expanded the program to 287 schools and 17 collection branches across 35 cities and municipalities in the Philippines. Through this growth, we recovered more than 10,600 kilograms of plastic waste and distributed digital rewards, helping schools access supplies, support student programs, and invest in equipment that benefits students directly.

From students learning environmental stewardship to schools turning collection efforts into meaningful educational support, this is what happens when communities come together with a shared purpose.

Our school program is more than a recycling initiative - it creates economic opportunities for schools while building lifelong recycling habits for the next generation.

Our team has expanded our impact across the Malang region in East Java, Indonesia. Between February and April, we activated 103 new collection branches in partnership with local waste bank management organizations.

Together, we conducted education and training sessions on the importance of proper household waste management and the economic value of recyclable plastic. We received a very positive response from local communities, who are eager to improve waste management while creating new economic opportunities through recycling.

Through this expansion, we aim to reach more than 10,000 people in the region - providing access to recycling facilities, education, and income opportunities.

Founded in 2006 in Munich, Germany, ClimatePartner supports businesses on their journey to net zero by helping over 6,000 clients measure and reduce emissions while contributing to certified climate projects worldwide.

Through its partnership with Plastic Bank, ClimatePartner offers clients a project that delivers both environmental and social impact - helping prevent plastic pollution in coastal areas while supporting livelihoods. The partnership has resonated strongly with businesses, especially in consumer goods and packaging, due to the visible and urgent nature of plastic waste. ClimatePartner also benefits from ready-to-use storytelling assets, including videos, photos, and joint campaigns such as the webinar featuring Plastic Bank Founder and CEO, David Katz.

Plastic Bank intercepts plastic in coastal areas before it reaches the ocean, while 4ocean removes plastic already polluting oceans, rivers, and coastlines. Both organizations are tackling the same global issue, but from very different points in the plastic lifecycle - changing how impact is created, who benefits from the work, and how success is measured. One focuses on prevention and community empowerment, the other on cleanup and recovery after pollution has already occurred.
