Going beyond the minimum
Sustainability can feel like a maze, especially when you’re unsure where to start or who to trust. It’s a challenge many small businesses face, and it can stall even the most passionate intentions.
But your sustainability journey doesn’t have to be daunting. The first step is finding a partner whose commitment is as transparent as it is impactful. Seek out those who don’t just meet the standard but strive to set new ones.
At Plastic Bank, we empower businesses of all sizes to stop plastic pollution and help end poverty with a commitment to authentic, verifiable impact. Brazil

In July, 42 members of the Espírito Santo collection community completed the Computer Science course we conducted at the Mão Estendida collection branch. Since its inception, the program has empowered over 120 members by providing essential digital skills. Our goal is to equip our members with the tools needed to help broaden their employment opportunities and improve their quality of life.
Egypt

Our team in Egypt recently renovated five collection branches. Upgrades included wall painting, secure cable management, pest control, ventilation, improved lighting, and fans. Collection members also received health and safety kits to prevent workplace accidents. We plan to continue these renovations throughout the year, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our collection members across the country.
Indonesia

Our Indonesia team collaborated with 80 SC Johnson employees to clean up Mertasari Beach in Bali. We collected 220 kilograms of waste, which was sorted for recycling and proper disposal. The event highlighted the importance of environmental protection and proper waste management. A big thank you to SC Johnson for partnering with us to empower collection communities, promote plastic circularity, and enhance our members' livelihoods.
Philippines

Fisher Retail Inc. has partnered with Plastic Bank Philippines to enhance plastic waste management at their Fisher Supermarket and Fisher Department Store branches in Quezon City and Malabon. Fisher will fund the collection and proper disposal of plastic waste, aiming to stop 11,000 kilograms of plastic by the end of 2024 while improving the lives of local collection communities.
