Forget resolutions make real change

As the new year begins, many of us reflect on resolutions—well-meaning promises to create a better future. But at Plastic Bank, we believe the world doesn’t need more parked resolutions. It needs action.

In 2024, we embarked on a mission to democratize impact. We moved beyond enterprise solutions to also empower individuals and small businesses through Impact Memberships. This shift was about putting the power to change the world into everyone’s hands, where anyone can take direct action to stop plastic pollution and help end poverty. Each membership enables the collection of plastic waste while providing opportunities for vulnerable communities to thrive. It’s a simple, impactful way to turn your values into measurable change—one action at a time.

Why? Because the solution lies in collective action. Just as an ocean is made of countless drops, every person and every choice matters—whether it’s switching to reusable products, supporting regenerative businesses, becoming an Impact Member, or advocating for change in your own community.

Remember: one drop may feel small, but when we come together, we form an ocean of unstoppable change.

In 2025, let’s make real waves, not distant resolutions.

Indonesia

A new collaboration with Davines’ exclusive distributor in Indonesia!

We’ve partnered with PT Mutiara Artha Sinar Kemilau, the exclusive distributor for Davines Group in Indonesia, to introduce plastic collection capabilities at six salons in Bali! Salons and their customers can now easily deposit any PET and HDPE plastic packaging, contributing to a cleaner environment and a second life for recycled plastic. ♻️✨

Philippines

Partnering to collect 800 bags of waste!

Phinma Education and St. Jude College Manila, in partnership with Plastic Bank Philippines, mobilized 1,800 students and staff to clean up Baseco Beach in Manila Bay, resulting in 800 bags of collected waste. This clean up is the first of a series of community outreach activities, spearheaded by students, to encourage the community to segregate their trash correctly and reduce plastic use. The school has already banned single-use plastic on campus including plastic cups, polystyrene containers/styro, plastic buntings, plastic straws stirrers, and plastic bags.

Egypt

Transforming lives with comprehensive care

This past year, Plastic Bank Egypt began offering a full coverage medical insurance program for collection communities, providing 644 community members and their dependents with health insurance. This innovative initiative is breaking barriers in high-risk areas, ensuring families receive the care they deserve. As we move into 2025, we’ll continue to uplift communities through meaningful action, recognizing that health is fundamental for progress.
