The power of purpose in business
Picture a bustling enterprise; its operations are smooth, its customer base loyal, and its financial health robust. This business isn’t thriving solely because of traditional business acumen. Instead, it has tapped into a powerful, emergent economic force: purpose.
Today's consumers look beyond product value to the ethics behind the brands they support, preferring companies that resonate with their values.
The 2020 Zeno Strength of Purpose study, involving 8,000 consumers globally, reveals a decisive preference for purpose-integrated brands, proving that purpose-driven strategies can significantly boost the bottom line.
Purchase likelihood: Consumers are 4x more likely to buy from brands with a strong purpose.
Resilience: Purpose-driven brands are 6x more likely to be protected by their customers.
Advocacy: They are 4.5x more likely to earn recommendations.
Trust: Such brands garner 4.1x greater consumer trust.
Despite these advantages, many companies still struggle to effectively integrate purpose into their business strategy. This gap presents a unique opportunity for brands ready to lead with purpose.

During the session, Gidget and Rene discussed how we collaborate with businesses to help end poverty and stop plastic pollution.
Indonesia

Frederick (Eric) Saman, our Indonesia Country Manager, spoke at the Miss Earth Indonesia beauty pageant workshop attended by 24 finalists. Addressing the theme "Say No to Plastic Waste," Eric emphasized the urgent need to curb plastic pollution. He discussed practical solutions such as reducing our daily plastic use, improving waste sorting from households, empowering communities to recycle, and empowering collection communities to gather and exchange plastic at their local Plastic Bank branches, thereby improving livelihoods and helping end poverty.
Brazil

Our collection communities across Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, and São Paulo have made a monumental impact, gathering 300 million plastic bottles, the equivalent of over 6 million kilograms of plastic, from our beautiful environment. This incredible effort has safeguarded nature and enhanced the lives of over 4,900 community members through significant bonus payments and social benefits.
Egypt

To support the health and well-being of our community in Cairo and Giza, we conducted thorough health screenings for all employees at our collection branches. These evaluations were performed by a skilled medical team and included blood tests, x-rays, and general health assessments. Regular health screenings are crucial as they help detect potential health issues early, allowing for timely intervention and care. We look forward to expanding this program throughout Egypt.
