Beyond its role as a sanctuary for countless species, the ocean is a lifeline for our planet. Yet, we often ignore the damage we inflict on this delicate ecosystem.

But here's the revelation: Protecting the ocean isn't just an environmental mission; it's a gateway to tackling our most urgent global issues.

After Brazil, our Founder David Katz traveled to the Philippines to surprise some of our collection members in the country! One of the members he met with was Reynaldo Layug Balingit, a 40-year-old collection member from Guagua, Pampanga, who collects an average of 255.8 kg per month.

Philippines

In collaboration with the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, Inc., we distributed 80 printers and 120 computers to support educational programs of our school community partners in the Philippines. Moreover, within a year of our partnership with the foundation, we stopped 4.2 million plastic bottles from entering the ocean.

Indonesia

Our team in Indonesia welcomed our impact partner Charles & Keith Singapore to two of our collection communities in Bali. During their visit, they actively participated in collecting plastic from the surrounding environment alongside our collection members, giving them the opportunity to connect and discuss the plastic pollution crisis and proper plastic waste management.

Brazil

In partnership with 3M, our team in Brazil has set up a classroom with 11 computers for 10 students and one teacher. In this classroom, over 80 collection members and their children will be provided with basic computer literacy classes, including using Microsoft Office, Google Mail and Google Drive, Canva, and social media platforms. The attendees will be divided into 8 classes, with two classes per week from Monday to Thursday and an additional class for those in need on Fridays.

Egypt

Ms. Universe Latvia, Kate Alexeeva, visited the children of our collection members in Cairo, Egypt, during their summer program. She had a fun and engaging session with the kids, sharing with them the importance of recycling and plastic waste management and inspiring them to take care of our planet for a better tomorrow.
