Another year has come and gone. While this year (and last) have been a little different than we’re used to, we’ve seen incredible positivity, possibility and love from our Plastic Bankers worldwide.

2021 began with the official launch of our fifth ecosystem in Egypt and shortly after we celebrated our first BIG milestone - the collection of 20 million kilograms of plastic waste, which is equivalent to 1 billion single-use plastic bottles. Now, as the year draws to a close, we want to take the opportunity to highlight those who made everything possible...

Our collectors, who work tirelessly to clean their communities, beaches, streets, riverbanks, and neighbourhoods from plastic pollution.

Our branch owners, whose entrepreneurial spirit creates space for the exchange of plastic waste for bonuses that help our communities to provide basic family necessities like groceries, cooking fuel, health insurance, school tuition and more.

Our partners, who are going beyond sustainability to empower the regenerative society, reducing the need for new virgin plastic production and creating lasting environmental, social and economic impact for our communities and our world.

Together, the panel of human resource executives discussed the shifts in workforce priorities since the pandemic began in 2020, choosing the right management solutions and staying on top of trends, integrating smart technologies to build engagement and stability. Pete’s dialogue focused on the cultural challenges and celebrations of working in a global organization as Plastic Bank.
