Did someone say new collection branches?

Last month we celebrated #WorldRiversDay, an important day to recognize our waterways and the impact plastic pollution can have on our rivers, waterways, seas and oceans. Did you know that around 90% of ocean plastic comes from just 10 rivers?
Every day, our collectors gather plastic from their households, communities, rivers, beaches, and exchange it for bonuses that help to provide basic family necessities. This keeps plastic out of waterways, and in the global supply chain.
That’s why we’re proud to share that we’ve opened 17 new collection points and branches across our five countries of operation since August. Our recycling ecosystems are at the heart of what we do here at Plastic Bank. With more locations, our 17,000+ collectors have greater ease of access to make a bigger impact around the world.

CooperVision

Together with Plastic Bank, CooperVision is providing eye-care practitioners and contact lens wearers a simple, and sustainable option to create positive impact for vulnerable coastal communities and the environment. That’s why for every box of clariti 1-day contact lenses sold in the United States, CooperVision prevents the equal weight of plastic from entering the world’s oceans. This also helps to support our 17,000+ Plastic Bank collectors in vulnerable coastal communities who exchange their collected plastic for bonuses that help to provide basic family necessities.
