Meet Ika Somawati, a Plastic Bank collector who has turned her passion for cleaning the environment into meaningful employment that supports her family. Ika is a mother and Plastic Bank collector in Kuta, Indonesia since 2019. She teaches her children about the negative impact of plastic pollution, so they will one day create an impact for the environment, their communities, and the world.

HelloFresh is offering even more ways to eat sustainably with their meal kits! Food waste has always been a core focus: delivering perfectly portioned meals to produce less food waste than traditional grocery stores - but now HelloFresh is expanding its impact to plastic pollution! Together with Plastic Bank, HelloFresh has committed to preventing 750,000 kilograms of plastic waste from entering the world’s oceans - that’s equivalent to 37.5 million plastic bottles!
